Thuginfc
Just wondering how many watts do you usually gain by going to half ohm?? I know it varies amp to amp and I'm sure car to car too. Had my 2 orion 5000d's running 2 ohm on my two skar zvx 15s and it wasn't enough power for em. I have a 320amp alt on the way and have about have about 350amp hours of battery bank plus some capacitors. Also 3 runs of 0 ga. positive front to back. And just ordered some of the dual 0 to angled 4 inputs for the amps. This electrical should be sufficient correct?? I plan on hooking volt meters to the input of each amp once everything gets here just to keep an eye on em while driving.

Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle. Aj11
last i knew Orion don't really do rated. and there build quality has taken a dive. but running a 10k system at .5ohm on a 320amp alt.. i wouldn't. if you have a huge bat bank you could for Very short burts. with your electrical I'd say no, with your amps, I'd say no. and.I'm usually the first to say hell yea .5ohm all day. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
Broke_Audio_Addict
Here's an idea buy subs that match up with your amps, unless you are competing there are really no benefits to wiring in the dirt. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Thuginfc
The orion 5000d has 2 sets of 4ga. It's the older grey ones. Broke audio addict I've got 2 of em and have a source on a third if one dumps. I really only wanted to run em so low for a few months till I can afford 2 more subs and a set of skar 4500s or maybe a dc 9k Aj11 How big of battery bank would you recommend?? Another 100amo hours?? 200?? I can't get anymore alts on my northstar. Well not yet atleast I'm working on some type of bracket like mechman made for the older devilles but mine doesn't have the torque brace in front like the one he did. I was hoping someone would just say yea go for it lol
Aj11
i would sell the amps, maybe a real 5k at .5 or a real 7k at .5 if you wanna run that low. actually a good 5k at .5 will prolly do ok with your electrical. but again your Max rms should be 3k with those subs. not knowing which Orion 5000d whether its the D or the cobalt d. (either one won't do power) i would recommend selling them for a real 4-5k amp and trying that out. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
Thuginfc
If I had one good amp I could run at 1ohm. But I plan on 2 more subs down the road. So I'd be back at .
Broke_Audio_Addict
Or 2 good amps at 1 ohm. They sell subs in different coil configurations for a reason.
