AlbertGonzalez
I want a small amplifier and i was thinking how hard would it be to convert a http://www.parts-express.com/6x100w-tda7498-class-d-amplifier-board--320-307 to use for car audio and using a processor or headunit to control the volume and a cap to keep my voltage up? I really want to find a way to make this work. Thanks in advance.
Triticum Agricolam
You will notice on the specs for that amp the input voltage needs to be 14-39 volts. To get good power out of those amps you really need to be able to feed it at the upper end of that range. So the tricky part will be how do you feed it 35+ volts in your car? If you have a good way to do that it should work out fine. Skullz
Cost prohibitive once you get into buying a power supply with enough voltage to work. jk13
Plenty of small chassis options out there. Steve used the Soundigitals in a pumpkin build one year IIRC. Many more are coming out with some and usually list them under motorcycle or powersports on their web sites. Static drops are my bag.
