hdorre
Im a bit lost right now.. My head unit is clean at volume 40/40 (checked with DD1), so i tuned my mids and highs with the 0dB tone. Whenever i turn the volume over 37-38/40, the speakers sometimes "pop." I run active, and i tried setting the crossovers even more conservatively... but that didnt fix it. I also tried turning the "sp-gain" to the tweeters and mids to -20dB. The speakers still popped, which tells me that its not from them being overdriven. The HU is rated to output 5v, and my amp is rated to accept up to 6v. Im confused.. This doesnt sound like a ground problem, as id expect whining or hissing. It sounds to me more like an RCA issue. Does anyone have any ideas? Id GREATLY appreciate it. Skullz
Playing them to low will cause them to pop, cross them higher around 80hz should be fine but you might have to go to 120hz if they continue to do it. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
