dwright27 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 ok so i bought my alpine the other day and it has 2 volt pre-outs. well, i hook up my Fosgate 1000bd i was using and it wasnt anywhere as near as loud as i thought it should have been. i had it on the 2 DD 12's running the same ohm load (2) as when i had it in the bronco and the 12's were like 5 times louder. is it because the cd player in the bronco is an eclipse with 5 volt pre-outs or because i had twice the cone area in the bronco? It will sound wayy louder if you adjust this setting...the pre-out voltage shouldn't make that big of a difference.
