My little X99 build

Recommended Posts

Little more progress....

UV Lime Green is CPU loop, UV Blue is GPU loop

Still waiting for my 2 other fans to show up for push / pull setup on GPU loops rad on bottom floor of case, waiting for my LED lights for both bay res's to make the colors "POP" more.

I love the outcome so far. In all honesty i feel its coming out better then i thought. Nice amount of room to work with inside the case and after i wire up everything and do some cable management, should be nearly complete. Thanks guys and please let me know what you all think so far

why use the big rad for the cpu only when it doesnt create anywhere near the amount of heat that both those cards do?
the cards could use that extra radiator space.

My cpu is 220watts stock, pushing 300watts easily with this overclock, and my temps are fine with a 240 rad, I cant see an intel throwing off anywhere near as much heat.

im happy with the way it is. CPU stays extra chilly, and GPUs will be just perfect.

*EDIT* Rad is also 50mm thick and double row, double pass too.. perfect for the gpus

  • 3 months later...

latest update.... removed the 240mm rad and bought a second EK 140x3 rad for the gpus, and mounted it up top where the cpu rad is, so everything is symmetrical. It is also setup in push / pull. GPU temps dropped on average 2-3c loaded with this rad. pics coming......

i painted the EK rads a "hammer silver" looks great!

Next update will be with 2 AMD Fury X cards in Crossfire with EK waterblocks

Should help a lot when overclocking, those i7 5800/5900 series processors get really warm. I've seen a lot of guys taking the i7 5960X into 1.45v and having quite a bit of trouble maintaining temps.

Backing up to the first post. I'm surprised you got both of those PowerColor cards to fit. They're massive.

my update did not affect my cpu loop. however my 5820k is @ 4.5GHz @ 1.296v and Cache speed is @ 4.25GHz @ 1.285v and my DDR4 is @ 3215MHz @ 1.32vdimm

Cpu temp in a 78f degree room in this summer heat here in GA is 71c that is 100% loaded. CPU temps dont climb out of the 40's while gaming.
