Crimp/Solder 1/0 options

Curious what size dies you guys are using for oversized (SHCA, Knu, Etc) 1/0. the kit im looking at comes with a 50, and a 70 among a bunch of other irrelevant smaller sizes (although it looks like I might be able to make some purdy 12g crimps with them haha) is the size 70 die going to be large enough or will I have to order a larger tool?

Crimping is the way to go IMO. I bought this 6 ton mechanical crimper off amazon for around $100. It works really well.

You cut the little fins on the side off after the crimp huh?

I didn't like the idea of losing copper so I just rotated the lug and crimped again compressing it all together so I got to put all of that copper to use.

It took me for fucking ever to solder all he leads in my truck.

There are about 75 connections in my truck that I hD to solder. Think of the time at took to solder vs 30 seconds each for solder

Yeah, SHCA 2/0 fused together as a solid piece. This is one of my crimps cut open with a dremmel/hack saw.
