Might have different results in your application though. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

We building up a box for three 12s in a hatchback and the client doesn't wanna temper with the back seat so the depth doesn't allow for subs up lol. Nightshade Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 I did a subs back ports up setup in my ZX3. I did a 151.3 with 2 Nightshade 15's and 2 saz1500d's. I had the same exact box flipped with woofers up and ports back and only did a 149.7 with the same exact equipment. But what happens when you build a box in a hatch with both port and subs firing up and it not as tall as the cabin?? Never heard of people experiencing problems with those setups Hatch back is a much smaller area than a SUV. The air has less distance to travel to reach the roof than you would in a SUV. Plus in a hatch, it is very easy to get loud regardless of port direction. You can fart in a hatch and get loud.
