TezasBassBox Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 Yup I'm going to get a re cone done on my sex d4 from.http://fixmyspeaker.com/services/ These dudes are awesome and can even make them handle 1500 watts. I'll prob just go for 900 tho. Good luck man. Subs don't hit when powered by cheap amps!

d-nice88 Posted April 4, 2015 Author Report Posted April 4, 2015 ok so i checked the site out sent them the info and never heard back from them. So does anyone know where i can buy a kit to recone my re audio se-x dual 2 ohm 15 ??? ive never tried to recone a sub but i bought some hds300 15's and im selling the good re 15 and i wanna learn ow to recone the blown one. Any suggestions?
audiofanaticz Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 re audio does not offer recone kits for their low end woofers, or even higher end woofers for that matter. I dont even think they offer one for their MT. fixmyspeaker is going to be one of the ways but they are slow to respond most the times. Other wise Fi car audio has some recones avaible for them because the owner of Fi is the guy that was behind the RE speakers before starting Fi, so he knows the measurements. Not sure if they have the exact model, so a email maybe best to Fi. Everything on the other recone page is spelt backwards so instead of it saying RE it says ER, etc. I believe the recone you need is the ER ES ( re se ) which is now the SEX because they changed the basket and added a letter to the name... But again, best to email them for sure if fixmyspeaker is not responding. http://store.ficaraudio.com/other-recones/

audiofanaticz Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Seems like a lot of hassle, especially if someone is capable of doing the recone themselves, but that explains why fi sells them then. lol
Miguels Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 i personally would have scott work on them.. i would even trash them and get the Fi X.. fo all the hassle and cost he is better off getting new subs.. only subs worth reconing are the expensive subs because you see some savings. on low end subs its not even worth it my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
d-nice88 Posted April 5, 2015 Author Report Posted April 5, 2015 But they said they can give me upgraded parts to make it a 1000 rms sub insted of 600 and maybe that would be cool to keep around when I get a truck n I can throw it in there ya know ?
