45s in all corners of a wall?

Recommended Posts

The air still has to move in one direction at a time. If the air traveled both directions at once we would be having some nice vacuums in the cars. You just account for both motions.

The air also doesn't move in just one direction for a golf ball during its entire flight. It moves at a changing inclination as the ball gains and looses altitude.

However, if you took a photo at any instant whether it be the golf ball, boat, or port; the air would be going in one direction. Ports just make the concept more complicated as entrances and exists require different designs for optimal flow, when both ends are entrances and exists you need to find a compromise between the two designs that maximizes the flow.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
