chado_345 Posted April 10, 2015 Report Share Posted April 10, 2015 I have a pioneer deh-p4100ub it have a few settings i would like some help setting it to get the best sound out it what hz i should set my lows at my mids at and my hights at and were should my cut off freq for my sub be set at the settings i have right now on the headunit are the lows at 40hz-Q2w the mids at 200hz-Q2w and the highs at 3khz-Q2w my cut off freq for my sub is 63hz and my hpf is at 100hz and i have my src level at 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Fourleaf Posted April 13, 2015 Report Share Posted April 13, 2015 Don't boost any frequencies unless absolutely necessary. It's best to lower others around it to get the tone you want, then turn up the volume. Also, try to use as little of the boosting settings and things like that head units have as possible. Preferably none. Just the HPF and LPF. I found that my system benefited hugly when I turned everything off but the filters.
