A kawasaki H2R has 354HP and weighs about 440 pounds, with rider about 610lbs, which is 0.58HP/pound. Torque at the engine is irrelevant, torque at the wheels is relevant. How does one change the torque at the wheels? A gearbox. What doesn't change at the wheels with a gearbox? Horsepower What is a measurement of acceleration? Horsepower What is a static rotational force? Torque Anyone can jump in a tesla a d stop it get that 0-60 in 2.8..... I bet if you put every member in a go kart vs that bike you mentioned with sooo much hp and visa versa The kart will win everytime, maybe loose once or twice.... Because no one in here can actually do the claimed 0-60 time of a gas car or bike but electric no issues everytime I am faster then the claimed 0-60 time on my motorcycle. And you were talking about power to weight ratio, even my "slow" motorcycle has a better power to weight ratio. 72HP and 500lbs for the motorycle and me=0.144, which is almost 2x as high as your kart. Yes a superkart (250cc 2-stroke) is faster then any sportscar, but they have double the power and more aerodynamic features. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for. When do gas motors make their power and how long does it take them to get to peak rpms Well the worlds fastest rpm changing motor is the lexus lfa idle- 10000 rpms in 1.1 sec unloaded. Thats still slower than an electric motor developing power......
