sundownaudio Posted April 15, 2015 Author Report Posted April 15, 2015 did you only just install it for the first time? or has it been installed for a while and only just started getting hot? what are you running from the amp? subs or speaker and what impedance are they? i installed it yesterday and im running two mid range speakers which are 8ohms and i have them wired down to 4 ohms bridge on the amp

sundownaudio Posted April 15, 2015 Author Report Posted April 15, 2015 okay... how do you have them wired to the amp? what model are the speakers, and what are the settings you have on the amp? the speakers are (2) 8 ohms eminence delta 10a which are wired to 4 ohms bridged, i did not touch the gains on the amp i just adjusted my crossover which is a Clarion MCD360 6-Channel 3-Way Crossover, also the ground wire on my amps are about 3 feet long could that be the problem ? because my other amps just get a little warm its just this rockford thats getting hot
