Joe X Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 word of advice. ditch the sealed box and build a ported box.. chances are the sealed box is not allowing the sub to cool itself. that and turn your gain down not up Sub's are in the trunk ac won't get there and how much down it's only between 3 and 5 now can't do a sealed box trunks not big enough kinda awkward the way my trunk is You can reverse mount the subs and use your subsonic filter to reduce some power from going to the subs (not for cone control as with ported), what's odd is that you say they got louder suddenly, check voltage at the amp input terminals, subs impedance and reset your gains, you will need a digital multimeter which you can find even at walmart. The box being sealed is not an issue. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand. Its odd that it seems to b hitting harder now and idk how to say it but miguels said to turn the gain down it was between 3and 5 no its at least at it seems to have lowered the bass

Electrical, clipping, box, can be a number of things No havnt gotten one yet moneys a bit tight I havnt tested them to see if there hot every song did I need to turn my gain down? Feels like I lost some bass

Hopefully you're willing to pay for his subs when they overheat and burns the coil due to him not being able to smell the coils sizzling.. Turn gain down it gets quieter. Turn the gain up gets louder but run the risk of clipping and damaging equipment. If you don't have the proper tools turn the gain way down. Yeah I know it sucks when it don't get loud.
