ChevyBoy95
Have always gone with #1 and read that it was the way to calculate port depth (measured from the center). With this port being 10.5" off the right wall and 10.5" off the back wall, I was curious which of these who would apply. Might do a build on my wall in order to make it more tunable (easier to plug or shim the port for various tunings.) so, #1 or #2? Broke_Audio_Addict
If the length of that port piece makes the distance from the end of it to the back of the enclosure equal too the port width then #1. I could be wrong though because I'm no pro designer I've only ever built for myself but I'm pretty certain I'm right. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. OrionStang
If the port is only 10.5" wide, your second measurement is wrong. It would be 6". Half the port width plus the .75" of the port wall. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

ChevyBoy95
planning a possible rebuild for the wall..... Port is large for a reason, huge port area for burps, plug for daily. This would be 39hz tuning with 23 per cube, and could plug it to say 33/34hz w/ 16 per cube, or even 30hz w/ 13 per cube. That is why the large ass port, many options for testing and tuning. With my current box, it does well with 35-55 (which is nice), but I really really miss smashing 27-35. I can hurt people a good amount from 35-50, and good choke at 44-50, but for enjoying a system like this daily, i wish i could play lower.
