Haven't we discussed this on GMFS before :)?

haha yes, and I read back through the thread before I made this one and didn't see any definitive answer for how to build the box. This is a very long-winded post and basically the main question I have is which way to face the sub and which way to face the port? I've searched the internet for hours and the only picture I've found is the ones I posted of that 15" setup. I know more people have done this I just can't find pics or any reviews on sound...

here is another option.. dont let the small size sub discourage you. right now my brother is running a single sundown sa 8v.2 on 1000 watts and that thing sounds beast. it sound like he has a 12 inch sub or dual 12' kickers in the trunk

that's an extended cab though, they are very easy to fit subs under. The crew cabs have an entirely different seat setup. I'll get some pictures real quick from my computer

Here is my old extended cab box I dug out of my parents garage. You can see the difference in seats in this picture though... The box is upside down though, I was just throwing it in to see if I should use it as a temporary setup

Could do something similar to this F150. Just run a single 12 or 2 12's, Maybe even you could fit a T-Line that way.

you may recognize that setup too, truck was in Texas for a long while in the Austin area.

I would get captains chairs. And do the enclosure in the center

That was my original plan but I'm having a hard time finding suburban/yukon XL seats locally, and that's another cost to incur. I would really like to use the sub and amp I already purchased, and I feel the 40% option is the best way to accomplish that. There doesn't seem to be a perfect option but maybe that's the best one for me at this time.

this it what im saying.. then you can add foam so it looks like the seat. get good foam for better comfort. you can go to sofa building places to get the foam.. i have a cousin who works building sofas so i have easy access to foam

With that would open a whole new can of worms that I'm trying not to open right now. If I did that in my truck I would want to buy more subs, more amps, then need a new alternator, batteries, more wire runs, etc... I'm trying to ease into this because I know how the game works and you always go bigger down the line...
