reedal
The difference between a fused amp and unfused amp, the unfused doesn't have that internal protection if for whatever reason it starts drawing more current than it should be. Hence the NEED to fuse before the amp (I don't because it's a 6-8inch run for me, there'd be more fuse holder than wire). At least that's what I've always believed. If I'm wrong, someone point me in the right direction please. Broke_Audio_Addict
Making it way to hard.hahaha. Honestly, I'm asking because I do not know how to deal with an unfused amp. -Frank It's no biggie really. The smartest thing to do is use as small a fuse as possible and Rockford says average is 100 amps on music and I'm sure she won't be sitting around playing full tilt sine waves so I'd start with a 100 amp fuse and if that blows move up to the next size and so on. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. MrSkippyJ
^^ agreed. Like I said I run a 150 amp for mine. Probably could go smaller since I don't really run it that hard that often.
