jessdabest77 Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 I have two JL Audio 13" W7,on two JL Audio 1200 watt amp's,extra batterry in a 96 single cab Silverado truck, with air bag's. Everytime I hit the air bag switch,or change station's on the stereo,I get a loud poping noise on my sub's. What is the cause of this, and how can I fix it? I did ad a relay for the two amp's,but still does it.
SIDE SHOW Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 Has it always been doing this since it was installed?
SIDE SHOW Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 could be the rca's are getting interference beind the deck in the dash (check all your connections and grounds ect)
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 Grounding issue. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
jessdabest77 Posted May 29, 2015 Author Report Posted May 29, 2015 yes,was doing it,but noticed with the air bags,it got louder
islandpride684 Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 Check ground at the amp, are you using the radio's remote wire? Factory fuse box? for the amp turn on? Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
