I went with the 8 ohm mids so when I put the Coaxials in the rear I can run all the mids/highs off one amp at 2ohm stereo. I won a pair of CT sounds 6.5's and they are gonna be put to good use in the rear doors.

As for the jeep it's still intact for now, and shes NOT into heavy bass so the subs stay off for the most part, but she overall will keep the 80PRS that is in it, the tymphany tweets, eminence mids. The factory mids/highs are in the rear doors still, and the factory sub is still in there also she says that is enough so who am I to argue? I will be replacing the RF 2ch amp for an old school MTX 2 ch I have laying around and it will be set. The subs, sub amp, batteries will eventually all come out.

First step for the silverado, replace the factory headunit with a DEH-80PRS, and it's complete. I can say that stuffing the entire harness kit behind the dash to retain all the chimes, onstar and steering wheel control was a little bit of a challenge but it is done. I put the headunit on the bottom to keep it from getting washed out in the sunlight.

Thanks, I have a BUNCH of stuff arriving today and tomorrow, so this weekend will have some changes in store for sure. The Eminence mids, Tang bang tweeters, speaker adapters, and RCAs are all arriving this weekend. As well the factory battery mounts so I can mount the secondary battery under the hood of the truck. All in all the biggest part of the build should be done in the next week. The subs/amps and enclosure/rack will be a bit more involved and take a little longer to complete.

And USPS finally arrived with my speaker adapters and new Stinger RCAs so it was time to put in the new Eminence Mids in the front and CT Sounds coaxials in the rear.

The foam you see is from Second Skin, it is called overkill, which is a closed cell foam. I used this because there was a small amount of open space left by the speaker adapters.

I got all but the driver front door done before the sky EXPLODED with rain and lightning, typical FL afternoon. So once this blows over I will wrap up the driver door.
