all4spl Posted April 2, 2016 Author Report Share Posted April 2, 2016 Well i was up at 530am starting on this today, got the rings stained, then attached to the box and then did a full coat of polyurethane on the inside and then stained the main box with ebony stain, the rings are english chestnut brown but its hard to see in this picture. all4spl Posted April 3, 2016 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2016 Yup woke up at 5am for some reason, well I was wide awake so I rubbed down the first coat of poly with 0000 steel wool, wiped off all the residue and then applied the second coat. Here is a nice shot out in the sun, the trim panels that go on the bottom are drying their second coat of poly pics of that portion to come once I get the truck torn apart. all4spl Posted April 4, 2016 Author Report Share Posted April 4, 2016 Mock up shot of the trim panels in place, the holes you see are for the power wires to get to the fused distribution from the amp which will be under the enclosure, also the speaker leads so that the judges can clamp the amplifier.
