Here's something to try. Instead of putting a monoblock on kids and highs....

Your "hiss" is coming through your mids and highs only, not the subs, correct? Via the 4-channel amplifier. And the hiss is there even when you have no music playing correct? So wire your subs up to the 4-channel, open up all filters so it's full pass of frequencies to the subs, but don't play anything, and listen for the hiss. If you have a garage where you can block out outdoor noise, that would be the best place.

If you have the hiss, it's your amp, if you don't, it could still be your amp but my idea didn't work due to the frequency range of the subwoofer(s).... :(

I know everyone situation is different but I just recently picked up a bad alternator whine, kicked my ass looking for what was going on! Then my front channel went out on one of my amps. The whine went away, don't know if the whine started cause something failing in one of my amps and back feeding to my HU but its gone now! Hope you find it and it ain't an amp going bad like mine was!

I had the same thing just happen to me.

So I grab an old Polk Audio 400.4 and run it temp setup till I get all my gear for build and....

Had some whine and a day later left front channel on amp dead and whine was gone.

The only speaker output out of the amp that was bad was LF+ so I just just bridged both front and it works

while running fronts off rear channels.

But this dude has clean signal at the amps and through the rca's from front to back.

Check for distortion from head unit rca outs I guess??

I have a no volume hiss now, lol my amps about to die! LF+ out put dead and all crossover section dead so running it full open no crossover.

have you tried lowering your gains? If you are hearing a hiss when there is no volume, your gains are probably turned up to high

All of the gains are set with the DD-1. I have even tried lowering them a bit off of the point the DD-1 recommends and it's still there.

Just take the amp back and ask them to test it, make a short video on what it's doing. and wait for the response.

I emailed DroppinHZ and they said they could send it to Crescendo to have them test it. That would probably take a few months so if that's the case I might just try to sell the amp and buy another one. I also have a guy that wants to buy my car so I might not have it in a month. We will see though.

I bought the nendo 1100.4 and had noise issues, i never ran an amp this big on mids and highs and never had wine problems. I purchased it from crescendo website, and i sent it back to get checked out. meanwhile i bought a dc 175.4 from sonic , cause it matched the dc9k i was running. Same noise problem was there with the dc amp. I also tried grounding the head unit, got some high fidelity rca"s from dropping hertz. the noise is still there, just thought i would share cause i wasted a lot of time and money buying a new amp, when the problem is obviously somewhere else in my install.
