When looking at the total wattage of your system..

Do you consider wattage going to your subwoofers on the same level as wattage from a channel amp going to your mids and highs... or is it not as important due to rise from music on your mids and highs?

I looking at pushing 300 rms to some components rated for 125 rms so take the how ever you want, all about that headroom.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

If you're using an ab class amp you will Need to factor in that it will be way less efficient than a d class amp would be.

And yes you calculate the theoretical power demand the same way.

There's nothing wrong with taking front stage amps into account and having overkill electrical. It's encouraged, but I don't personally take highs amps into account- because I think people would be surprised how little power they're actually using from them.

Unless you have like 5,011 midwoofers or something.

Exactly. My 150.4s are rated at like 60 amps each my tfes are 1100 each. The four channels are highly insignificant.
