My System is producing HEAVY distortion??

I'm sorry if this is not a General Audio question but I couldn't find a category because I'm not sure what it would fall under.

Anyways, My Amps are producing HEAVY distortion and I can't figure it out?

I Have a video to show what everything looks like if I could upload it on here somehow

Amps are (Alpine MRP-M500 and Precision Power PPI900.4)

The vehicle is a 2002 Ford Explorer with stock electrical. The battery's resting voltage (at time I did these tests) was 12.6V, Alternator is charging fine at 14.2V. Electrical system tests were performed at Advanced Auto parts and everything seemed to check out.

My HU is an Pioneer FH-X700BT, All settings are Flat or factory default. 2 sets of 2V pre-outs. Using generic Best Buy TruConnex RCA cables that are ran down right side of car opposite of my power wires that are ran down the drivers side.

I Have a 1/0 Power wire running from the battery to a distribution block, from there it splits into an 8AWG and a 4AWG, same wire setup also applies to the Ground wire which is grounded to the chassis underneath rear seats. Bare shiny metal (NOT a seatbelt bolt!)

Both of these amps are distorting. I Scoped the RCAs and they were clean with no distortion up until volume 60 of 62. The Amps distort at ANY volume, even with all settings such as Gains all the way down. By Distort I mean really screwed up sine wave that looks all squigly.

I am using a DSO201 Nano Scope, which is verified working because I tuned another system using it and I used it to verify the RCAs were not sending a distorted signal.

The Amps distort with car On or Off. The system consists of the Pioneer HU straight to both Amps with no external processors, line drivers, GLIs, etc.

Attatched is a picture of what the sine wave looks like on my scope. This is NOT an actual picture, just found a picture that looks like what mine looks like. 406DCSFIG07.jpg

Thank You!

First thing I would do is use an MP3/phone as a source and see if that clears it up. It's seems a little unlikely that both amps just go bad randomly.

Yes the source being played is from the AutoSound 2000 Amplifier Level setting CD. I will try an Aux to RCA cord from my iPod later tonight. I Have a video to show the setup but is there a way I can upload onto this site?

You can either host it via photo bucket or upload it to youtube.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Here is the video, I uploaded to YouTube. Update: I verified that the signal is not the issue using an Aux to RCA cable connected to my iPod using lossless quality test tones from the Autosound 2000 CD. Still had distortion in the output

I also have an updated video where I bench Test and verify that the Amps are in working order that I will post when I get some replies. I have posted on the Car Audio Advice page on Facebook as well and have stumped many people and still don't have a conclusion. Thanks to anyone who may be reading this, I could really use your help!!
