I would not consider myself to experienced in any way but a true trunk build means everything in the trunk and full interior. Those sealed off are essentially building a wall. Who here has all of their equipment in the trunk and how loud are you? And how did you get there?

i have everything in the trunk, 2 dc audio lvl 5 12's on an ampere audio tfe. Subs are facing forward completely sealed off, no meter yet, new box will be built soon and waiting on a termlab. One day I just decided to go big, when I went to a competition I just got the bug to go bigger. Also ninja, seeing his big build inspired me to go bigger ( im no where he is though). It all really depends what your goals are.

i just want to see how loud i can get with everything in the trunk. i want to keep my interior 100% all the time. not seats folded down if i wanna be loud. im just curious who has real deal set ups with seats up full interior all equipment in the trunk.

I don't understand why some people feel like a "trunk wall" is "cheating" or "not a true trunk". If the seats lock back into place and all the gear is in the trunk... how is it not a real trunk?

If you *choose* to ride around with your seats folded up, that's cool, but don't discount the scores of those who can or do fold their seats down.

With that said... my current trunk car did 154.5dB on 1,014w clamped. (2) 15's, all the gear in the trunk with a full interior (seats folded down).

My Lexus' seats didn't even have the option of folding down and I got that car over 150dB . Again... (2) 15's.

No trunk thread would be complete without mentioning Terry Brocks. He doesn't have a "trunk wall" and does 162+.

your statement " Those sealed off are essentially building a wall" couldn't be more far from the truth. You should re think your definition of what a "wall" is and then revisit the topic.

Trunk cars are a money pit.. everything breaks then you have to fix it again and repeat.. i would never have one!
