resonant frequency

Recommended Posts

you could probably save yourself a ton of trouble and not worry about resonant frequency. It's going to change depending on what box and sub you put in there afterwards. If you are trying to maximize spl then you are just going to have to do a lot of testing.

The RF won't help with your numbers, but it will help with the feel o meter though, the closer you match the tuning to your cars RF the louder it will feel compared to a tuning below or above the RF of the vehicle.

Tough to say as every car is different along with everything inside the car, and as was pointed out is you'll have to test and tune and try to maximize the output you can get.

I believe there's a thread on here that was stickied either in the Sound Quality sub-forum, or EQ/HU, titled tuning your EQ or something, and goes through the steps of finding your vehicles resonant frequency before tuning your EQ. Good helpful info, and I believe it recommends using a 10" sub.
