Aaron Tuck TBA
To a 12" that all the instructionals I've read said to use. 2000 Cavalier 4 doorXS D925XS D2400XS D31004 runs of 1/0 Mechman 270 2 DD 9515js
MrSkippyJ
you could probably save yourself a ton of trouble and not worry about resonant frequency. It's going to change depending on what box and sub you put in there afterwards. If you are trying to maximize spl then you are just going to have to do a lot of testing. Aaron Tuck TBA
I'm fine with lots of testing I thought finding your resonant was the best start. 2000 Cavalier 4 doorXS D925XS D2400XS D31004 runs of 1/0 Mechman 270 2 DD 9515js
Skullz
The RF won't help with your numbers, but it will help with the feel o meter though, the closer you match the tuning to your cars RF the louder it will feel compared to a tuning below or above the RF of the vehicle. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Aaron Tuck TBA
Where would you recommend I start. I'm at a loss where I should begin testing and what to look for. 2000 Cavalier 4 doorXS D925XS D2400XS D31004 runs of 1/0 Mechman 270 2 DD 9515js
Skullz
Tough to say as every car is different along with everything inside the car, and as was pointed out is you'll have to test and tune and try to maximize the output you can get. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
reedal
I believe there's a thread on here that was stickied either in the Sound Quality sub-forum, or EQ/HU, titled tuning your EQ or something, and goes through the steps of finding your vehicles resonant frequency before tuning your EQ. Good helpful info, and I believe it recommends using a 10" sub.
