BigManAC
My cousin is getting married in September and she asked me to DJ for her. Its going to be a somewhat small wedding so that is why she asked me to DJ. Is there anybody here have DJ experience and advice they could give me. I have started on a song list and she (my cousin) is giving me a few songs she wants in there. Any advice is greatly appreciated. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
_paralyzed_
Start off with the chicken dance. Have "Macarena" always on stand by. "N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye" always goes over well.If you really want to get the party hopping, just put in "Jock Jams 2000" and walk away.Kill it killer! Noel989
I usually play what the people like, more mainstream stuff. I also don't stick to one genre or artist I try to switch it up as much as I can but in my case I play more Banda than anything else since that's generally what people like to dance to And don't play sad/mellow songs (one or two are fine) your their for the people to dance and have a good time Build Log - http://www.stevemead...-cruiser-el-pt/

I sometimes make a playlist during the reception time it depends who I'm djing for but after I hop on the computer Also make sure it sounds good Build Log - http://www.stevemead...-cruiser-el-pt/
BigManAC
I wasn't sure. I planned on just staying there the whole time. Im going to get the highest quality songs possible even if that means buying the songs. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw

aculous
also depending on venue you may want to rent equipment. Like a small speaker/sub setup with a mixer. Having quality gear thats reliable is always good. also is there a dance floor? thats usually important at weddings. Make sure you have a couple of slow songs for the father/bride dance or whatever and the rest just have things people like to listen too. Knowing the crowd is good. Have backup music with you too. BigManAC
They have a place in mind that already has sound equipment setup, how good it is I have no idea. Im in NC and the wedding is in OK. My cousin is sending me a list of the father daughter song and others she wants. I do believe there is a dance floor, whats a wedding without a dance floor haha. Alright thanks Gunnem ill give that a look. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
Tribe Called Bass
watch your bpms! Always start low(90-100-110 etc) and move up. never jump around with high energy music and slow music randomly.
