Fiberglassing panels for additional soundproofing

Hey guys, I have a quick question to discuss.

I recently bought some deadening, 80mil and 160mil (2mm and 4mm) for different parts ot the car, but I want to go even further. I want to strenghten the panels with fiberglass from the inside, because they are reasonably flexible and I think this results in more rattles and loss of pressure. The panels I'm going to reinforce are NOT plastic, so the resin will stick to them (I hope :D ).

I have other ideas as well, ilke glueing the support beams for the roof to the roof (if they are not properly attached) and putting expanding foam wherever it is appropriate.

What are your opinions on this? If you have any other tips, they will be gladly appreciated!

The deadener will be on the metal, I won't put any on the panels (for now). I know it resonates, but the bare panels also resonate, so some additional strength won't hurt in my opinion.
I know I gained 0.2db just by putting the bottom plastic panel back on the passanger door (it takes about 7-8 inches of the door), so I think if I make everything stiffer, it might help.

These are my door panels:

Sounds like you need something like a mass loaded vinyl (secondskin luxury liner pro) or urethane foam with a specific weight. Or closed cell foam.

MLV acts as a noise barrier and will work better then deadener for that application.

WIth a ton a bass too I would think a stiffer door panel would crack.

For a noise barrier I have purchased an alternative to SS's products, because we don't have them here.

I'm thinking about gaining some SPL, that's why I wanted to try this. I haven't thought about cracking, but I think they will be fine - I'm below 150's for now.

I'm searching for a more budget friendly solution to make the panels stronger and fiberglassing them was the first thing that came to mind. Maybe I'll try with some of the smaller and easier to do panels and if it works out well, I'll fiberglass the others.
