Joseph Chambers
Hello ya'll. So I have two of these: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_68826_NVX-XSP6KIT.html These have Bi-Ampable crossovers.. which I guess means you can run in active. I'm sure 90% of the forum is aware of the Pioneer DEH-80PRS and it has a Network mode which I guess means I have the features of a DSP to my disposal. Please beware: I'm a n00b at this level. Given that I have the C1100.4 - can I run network mode with my Bi-Ampable crossovers.. or do I NEED two 4 channel amps to do this? Are things like time alinement and autotune available to me without network mode? Do I need to keep the autotune IF YOU WERE ME! and you see everything i have ready to install.. ( sig ) - what would you do? gckless
Bi-ampable is not the same as running active. These are passive crossovers. Just means you can run separate amp channels to your woofers and tweeters, but the passive crossover will still do the filtering. Run full range from the 80PRS. The manual will answer all your questions. If I were you, I'd read how active processing works, how to do it, and toss the passive crossovers. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand. White Lightning
Look up Michigancapri. Look for his Ford Edge build. Pay close attention to where his tweeters are located. I think you will be impressed with the way it's done. Simple and effective ... Also, just to start out ... I would go simple stereo mode passive and learn from there ... Then again, just my suggestion ... Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? Try Here ...
