d-nice88 Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 Ok so on break im going to the store playing my music and all of a sudden my 4 ch amp and 2 fans shut off but the sub amp radio and eq stay on. When I got to the gas station I turned my radio off and the car off but the sub amp and eq stayed on idk wtf just happened. I had to unplug the power and ground to the relay but it still stayed on. So I just unplugged the remote to the sub amp then everything shut off. Any idea why ??

d-nice88 Posted August 7, 2015 Author Report Posted August 7, 2015 Could it be a short ? I had my car parked in the sun and my amps were exposed to direct sunlight and I live in texas and it was like 105 degrees outside prolly 115 in the car

Make sure your connections are good, also where does the remote wire from the sub amp go to? More info about your system is needed. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 Check the wiring to the relay. Or try replacing them relay itself, it's not unusual to get a relay that goes bad quick. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
d-nice88 Posted August 8, 2015 Author Report Posted August 8, 2015 I have the remote from the hu going to the relay then from the relay to sub amp 4 ch amp and 2 fans. I will buy a new relay and re wire everything with new wire. I got the relay from autozone spdt single pole 40 amp relay it was only 6 bucks.
d-nice88 Posted August 10, 2015 Author Report Posted August 10, 2015 ok so now idk wtf is going on. got another relay wired everything back up and still nothing. when i hook up my remote from the hu/eq to the switch part of the relay the eq turns on and wont turn off unless i unhook the remote from the switch. when i got everything hooked up i turn the car on and none of my other stuff comes on. my sub amp 4 ch amp and 2 fans all of them dont turn back on idk wat the hell is goin on. any one got an idea?
