I can only fit one alt in my ride, and I'm not willing to give up A/C, so adding to the bank is my only option. moredbs Posted August 27, 2015 Report Posted August 27, 2015 how much power you going to end up running? personally i prefer more alts than batteries, but you may still need some batts for reserve. i still need a third alt to possibly play full tilt at idle.

moredbs Posted August 28, 2015 Report Posted August 28, 2015 i have 2 singer 370 6 phase hairpins( don't know what all that means , he suggested them) 2 3400s under the hood and 3 xp 3000 in the bank, on the 8.0Tfe. voltage never drops below 13.7 if i keep it at 1,500 rpm. 2 scv6ks , your gonna need another alt and batteries. if you got the funds, i would do over kill on the electric and keep all your equipment happy.

gckless Posted August 28, 2015 Report Posted August 28, 2015 This is largely going to depend on your playing style also. Mostly just burps/comps? Need a large battery bank. Daily? You're going to want another alt and some more storage. Better yet, since you have some battery reserve, I'd start buying ultracaps instead of more batteries. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.
