Hotdog
Has anyone had any experience with the Alpine CDE-164bt. I just purchased one and I am hoping for good results. http://alpine-usa.com/product/view/cde-164bt It has 3 way active crossover and time alignment. Built in Bluetooth and I am most interested in the tune it app that you can either set with your smart phone or use ones that others have done. For instance if someone has eq'd their vehicle and they have the same vehicle as yours you can download his/her tuneit profile on your smartphone and set it in the receiver. Hotdog
received my Alpine CDE-164BT today. Will try to get it installed this weekend so I can let you know how it sounds and functions. I am most intrested in the tune-it app and seeing how others have their vehicles set up. KiKaZz74
I have the older 147bt and its a damn good HU. The tune it app is so so. Same with Pandora. But has great cover points and a good eq on it. TA is good but I never got to put it on an active system so truly test it. If it sounds anything like the past they have made you will love it. dolarbilz
I purchased the 164bt really like it.it has a 3 way crossover for frnt, rest, sub I don't think it's full active like tweeter mid sub..not unless I'm using it wrong.. I read the overview on the 164 I don't see where it says its 3 way active.. I like the tuneit app for the ease of functions through the phone. KiKaZz74
Use rear as mid. Front as tweeter. Just gotta think of it different. Can be ran active if the Xover points are good enough for you. KiKaZz74
Also think of it as 2 way active. I hate that people consider the sub as a part of that. 2way or 3 way active is upfront plus a sub. KiKaZz74
But most people when talking headunits seem to think sub is included My SPL to SQ Build Log Vehicle:1997 Dodge Dakota Ext Cab 4x4 2009 Dodge Journey SXT5.2L V8 Magnum 3.5L V6 Stock AltEquipment: Headunit- Alpine CDE-147BT Mids/Highs Amp- JL Audio G6600 Class AB 6 Channel Sub Amp- Hifonics BRZ1700.1D @ 2 Ohms Taramps DSP3000.1D Sub- Hertz Hi Energy 12" HX300D SounDrive SDA3 12 Tweeters- Rockford Fosgate Power Series Silk Domes Hertz Hi-Energy Mids- Dayton Audio Reference 4" Full Range Drivers Midbass- Silver Flute 6.5" Hertz Hi-Energy 6.5" Processor- MiniDSP 2x4 RCA- 6 channels of SounDrive HF series Wire- EB Flex 2/0 -Member of Team SounDrive
