hoit
mods,if this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it. anyone out there running shallow mount subs in their doors? i'm considering running a 6.5 and a 8 in each front door. so, i guess it would be classified as a mid bass technically. was looking in to shallow mount subs, for space reasons, obviously. any feedback is appreciated. 2007 Chevy Aveo Ls sedan 2 Sundown Xv2 on scv4k @ .5 ohm 2 pair RE XXX 6.5 components on sax200.4 @ 2 ohm Big Three, Three runs 1/0 power from front to back, 1 ground front to back Two runs ground from rear bank to chassis XS power d3100 upfront, 3 Odyssey 2150s in bank Singer 220 amp alt

FourRings
What car are you planning on?I ran a pair of 8 inch JL's in the doors of my S10 years ago and I was very happy with the final result. The first few tries where dismal though but after building proper fiberglass enclosures for them I was amazed. The truck was a standard cab SQ build with a blow through for SPL when I wanted it.I had MB quart 3 ways with mid bass and tweets in the kicks and mids in the dash for the front stage,jl 8's for sq sub stage and then 4 12 w 4's in a 4th for the blow through all running PG amps and a 30 band eq as far as standard cab mini trucks go it was one of the best in its time (1997). White Lightning
Not sure why you would put a 6.5" driver and an 8" driver in the same door ... Or use a sub driver for midbass ??? If you plan to use a good 8" midbass driver, I'd suggest finding a fullrange 4" driver for midrange ...
