Ryan929
Currently I have a half wall with (6) 12s. In a 2000 chevy Silverado ext cab. I would like to do a 4th order blow through with either ( 8 ) 12s or (6) 15s. (12s and 15s would be same model/power handling) I currently have sq hds312s and if I went with the 12s Id buy two more or sell them all and buy 6 hds315s, depending on the advice I recieve. I have about 40 cubes to work with in my bed 6.5ft x 4.08ft x 1.5ft. So basically my question is with equipment/space I have would I be better off(in your opinion***I know there is no real way of knowing without building and testing) building a full wall with 8 12s, or building a 4th order blow through with 6 15s or 8 12s?If I forgot to mention anything just ask, thanks for any help.Edit: will post some pictures later, on mobile right now. mcfalcon
Well I believe you would have more cone area with the 6-15s but wall vs 4th order blowthrough is apples and oranges. I know this doesn't help......sorry. Still learning but have started gathering.
Ryan929
Lol, it's okay any input is appreciated. And I agree with you, but 4th orders just seem to get much more praise. Also wasn't sure if since it's an ext cab having the port further back in the truck (vs a single cab) would make any kind of difference where as the wall would be right behind the seats. Ryan929
Those 12s? I was thinking about doing port horizontally across middle of the box, what would be the differences between that and how you have port on drivers side? Ryan929
I guess I will end up doing 6 15s.. Any input on a full wall or a 4th order blow through? pros vs cons on the two?.. aside from the obvious of choosing between a back seat or my bed..
