My brand new CNC costs as much as a family car. It has a liquid cooled spindle and with a fully submersed water pump. It does not come with any sort of tank. They suggest using a bucket. Which i did. I used one of my many "Homer" buckets i have laying around the shop to get me by. But you KNOW i can't roll like that. I have a bunch of scrap Acrylic and know i need to get my practice on. What better to practice on than a little tank I made a few small boxes out of 1/4" acrylic the other day and they were water tight. So i have no doubt this one will be too. It is 3/8".


Oh, and the logo....my 1/4" bit is too big to put the word "Industrial" under the Baileigh emblem. So i switched it up to use less letters which let me make the letters i had large enough to take the bit. Hey, it's fully appropriate...because this thing IS UNREAL! I love it!

In case you are wondering why there is screws holding this down when i have a very powerful vacuum (hold down) table, it is because i haven't made my pull-through spoil board yet. I will probably do it next week. It is suggested to use lightweight MDF and skim the top and bottom with a fly-cut bit.

Anyhow, this particular piece below, is a piece that was notched in the first side and then flipped over for the engraving. Hence even more screws to hold it in place. Worked GREAT!

oh...and IT ISN"T DONE YET! i will post more pics tomorrow after i clean it up and actually fill it with water. It can't see any water for 24 hours but i will drop it in sooner than that

i was just thinking the same thing...it is a GREAT time to be alive. But i wonder if our great great grandfathers thought the same thing when like someone invented the radio....or a car for that matter. Although shitty by today's standards, how fucking awesome would it have felt to get in a car and drive 15mph when you have been walking or riding a mule. And you can take your family with you. How about the first people that got to see a television.......like OMG what a great time to be alive!

i am just glad we are having fun i just wonder what will be left for our great grandson's.
