CleanSierra
I only see 3 subs on your list. The SP4 and XSV2 are twins so we can only count those once. You also have the SSA Evil listed which would really make it triplets since they're all the same build house. Then you have the DC and the HDC4. None are terrible choices, they're all capable. Pick your favorite dust cap and the price you like most and go with that.Lol sp4 is not a xsv2 nor is a ssa evilSsa evil is closer to xsv2 they are both based of the team as Sp4 is the baby brother Haha, think what you want. All perform VERY VERY similar. Both have 4 layer coils, virtually same spider setup, reinforced codes, same surrounds, same power handling, relatively similar T/S specs. Biggest difference is double stack vs triple stack motors. If one was to be looking at either sub, price and what your dust cap looks like would be the two biggest factors. They are apples and apples otherwise. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Broke_Audio_Addict
With 2500 watts per sub Sp4 for sure, teams would be a waste of money at that power level. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. I've seen the SP4s do well on anything 2000W per sub and above Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CortezDTV
One is good for 3500-4000 One is good for 5000+ So yes the extra slug makes a big difference your also lugging a lot more weight around They all have their specific spot Needs but I wouldn't pile them all in the same category Not to mention mine had waaaaaay more spiders than that........4 lmao 7 to be exact Sp4 and xsv2 could be similar 8" slugs but personally wouldn't call them that at all, different motor structure completely.... All subs from a manufacturer will have some similar soft parts... Evil, team aa ;extra slugs and they are 10" slugs more spiders SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/
CleanSierra
Your XS had 7 spiders? It wasn't the SPL version or anything right? I would NEVER push the XSv2 to 5000+ Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CortezDTV
Ssa evil is more similar to team as than xsv2. The v3 was closer to ssa evil And mine were all stock 7 spiders..... Bill put my amps on cjs teams at autorama no issues..... And bill loves the volume knob 3-4K. Sp4 and Xs v2 Team fi in the middle here more towards the 5k side easily though still 10"slugs 5k. Evil, team aa, xsv3 from the old protons etc I saw were similar to both in this category. I would assume similar 5-7 spiders Just my knowledge on the subject SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/
Wagonized
If you have a hook up, the Fosgate T2 16s are 4" coils. We have a local build with 4 of them walled in a Dodge Ram.I honestly would not run RF if it was free. Wagonized
2500 watts for a level 6? how about an XL That's just 2500 to start. My plan is to over build everything and simply have it running on low power just to have fun with it. Starting with 30kw power (2500 per woofer) and perhaps going as high as 120kw (10 000 per woofer). Using AB 1100.1s, Stetsom 14k2e, Crescendo 12k, or SD 16K.
