Rockville M-4 At .5 ohm (no joke)

I think a lot of the confusion in this thread is coming from the use of the word "tuning". "Tuning" is not the appropriate word when referring to sealed boxes (IMHO), the correct term is "sealed resonance".

Part of the confusion comes from the fact that both a ported box's tuning and a sealed box's sealed resonance both use the same abbreviation "Fb". "Sealed resonance" and "tuning" are similar concepts but they not exactly the same thing.

Other than the wording issue, I think ShadeTreeMechanic is spot on with the info it is posting.

Well basically Fb is the frequency of the enclosure with a given driver X. No matter sealed, ported, band pass, 4th order, anything because it is the resonant frequency of the total system being designed. You can call it sealed resonance if you want if it makes it easer to understand. But if we start giving our own names to things, then it gets confusing to other people when they have to know that what we called it was called Fb everywhere else even if they are synonyms. IMHO.

Lol, by calling it the "tuning" you are doing the exact thing you are accusing me of.

If you don't like the term "sealed resonance", use "box resonant frequency" then or just "Fb", just not "tuning".

The box is tuned by changing the resonant frequency which was stated as Fb. It is tuned just like the strings on a gutiar? I guess thats where i was coming from. I think we are splitting hairs here.

Yes tuned as in you can change the tuning of it. Thanks for the great discussion like a true conversation you never really know where it is going until it gets there.

And now back to the M-4.

I like the part where it's says professional peak limiter circuitry which guarantees distortion free music at all levels.

They Could not possibly make up a bigger lie than that.

No worse than the lie some companies tell about their Korean boards being more exspensive because they pay extra to have higher tolerance parts installed.
