Broke_Audio_Addict
Yes, it would kill the dynamics. Although it's not like most people give two shits about dynamics these days anyways. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Broke_Audio_Addict
He even says in the video that "the amplifiers output will keep increasing as long as there is dynamics left in the input signal". so basically it'll keep getting louder till everything is at one volume level. So no more dynamics. This may be the worst idea ever in car audio. CstrokerV
What im confused about if you are setting gains you use a sine wave so the wave form isn't like he shows it.. so what is it for adjusting gains with music?.... either way i dislike that ass hat... ... and i might be wrong but i dont think it will change dynamics because the output will still change due the frquency at the output due to impedwnxe rise.... maybe? Lol my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
Broke_Audio_Addict
He says in the video that people prefer this type of dynamic range compression. Plain and simple it will kill dynamic range. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. CstrokerV
700 watt amp for 700 bucks yeah no thanks ... oh suppose to be equivalent to a 1500 watt amp still uh no thanks my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
Miguels
one thing you are missing is when you set the gain on an amp you set it with a sine wave not with music so you wont lose the dynamics.. the dynamics will be lost if you gain with music my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
Miguels
He says in the video that people prefer this type of dynamic range compression. Plain and simple it will kill dynamic range. thats because he is lying.. even if its possible you wont lose dynamics if you set the gains the right way.. still a bs claim though my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
