Why in the fuck would you need to raise the gain past the point of it matching input sensitivity? You wouldn't. If what he's explaining that it does is accurate you'd kill the dynamics of your music. I really believe what he's saying it does isn't even possible but I could be wrong either way it's a stupid idea and just a marketing gimmick. I mean other than the amp reaching it's maximum too early or not early enough? either the input gain is properly matched to the output head unit (and anything else in the chain before the amp) or it is not. If the deck is putting out a clipped signal to this amplifier, will it clean up that clipped signal and make it good again before it amplifies it?
