dylan117
so I'm trying to make a trim panel for my wall to seal it off and pretty it up a bit, but I'm not sure how to get the exact shape of my car. I've tried using tape to mold around the car then fiberglassing over the tape to hold the shape, but it didn't turn out all that well lol.
reedal
Cardboard Cut to shape, tape/glue into place, fiber glass over that if you want, or use the shape of the cardboard to trace onto wood and cut that out for better durability than cardboard SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=

n8ball2013
I use note cards. Smaller pieces taped together easier to work with. I think mine turned out pretty well. hdorre
Is your wall already built? For my wall, Alex and I kerf'd my box's side panels along my b pillar. I filled the 1/8 - 1/4" gap with foam, and body worked. n8ball2013
To do it right you should pre plan for it. There isn't a drop of spray foam used to seal off my wall on the front face. I could get away with lot screws or anything if I really wanted to. It took me awhile to do it though and hand sanding to fit it perfect THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. hdorre
Nice, but i had to use all the space i could get. In order to do so, I needed to kerf the sides. Wood wouldnt fit in 1/8" gaps.. well, without breaking. I couldnt do trim panels over the baffle either, due to my sub baskets and seat belts. My baffle is at a 42 degree angle and touches the back part of my seat belt bolt. I just dont have room haha.. Looking back, i suppose I couldve maybe done body filler. Wouldve been a pain bc i cant access it from the rear to apply any sort of pressure. But its an eighth of an inch of gap that was filled lol On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
n8ball2013
Right different ways to do it. But I see too many people say I'm building a wall and not build in a way to seal it so they attach trim pieces to the front and things like that THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.
