For me to insure my car audio investment on my car insurance my rate will almost DOUBLE !!!

What are some insurance companies you have experience with that work well with aftermarket audio ????

Progressive you would need documentation and receipts for the value of the equipment, but they just lump it all under something like 'additional vehicle modifications' and assigned it a money value you set.

They cover up to $1000 as part of their normal insurance plans, but I think I upped it to $2500 or $3500 and it cost ~$6/mo extra

Bro, aftermarket parts inside your vehicle should be covered under home insurance. If you have a renters policy, you are covered from theft and/or damage. Look up comprehensive coverage from the company you decide on.

But What Do I Know?

That's nuts.

Aftermarket accessories coverage usually cost a few bucks a month.

I paid around $5 a month for like $2k in coverage when I had it.

Going to be adding it to the caliber soon and will report back with cost.

Who do you go through?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I have USAA and they are fantastic. Prior to them, I had State Farm and they were great as well, but I paid more and got less.

You might want to contact your agency if you believe that so they can tell you you aren't covered.

I have usaa as well and agree that they are great but not everyone can get insurance through them.
