VDub916 Posted May 18, 2016 Author Report Share Posted May 18, 2016 I'm using monster cable rca's. I tested continuity and they did good. Headunit has 4v pre outs and those tested good also. As soon as you connect the headunit to the jl amp, you can hear feedback through the door speakers. I've also been told that pioneer headunits aren't compatible with jl Amps due to pioneers rca pre amp issues. I haven't been able to find any information on this though. VDub916 Posted May 18, 2016 Author Report Share Posted May 18, 2016 The amp does have sensitivity adjustment but it does not have any effect on the feedback in getting. Efreakingt Posted May 18, 2016 Report Share Posted May 18, 2016 There should be a rca low/hi input switch and a rca sensitivity dial on the amp. Have you tried changing those? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. (post a good picture if possible) I would still test with other RCA's, I haven't had great experiences with Monster. To answer the title of this thread: Not really, unless you are picking extremes. The change in perceived sound quality you might hear is because of power differences. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
