Krupske
the ferrule and the heatshrink..i do it on every one of my wires and seeing other people take the time to actually do that, just something i enjoy seeing I now understand what you meant. Btw saw your build topic and have to say wow Great work! Got this in today 2 more reducers so now i have 4 of the 6 And also this 100feet of 0 gauge power cable Now i have 100feet of power and 100feet of ground It's going to be 4 runs of power and 4 runs of ground from front to rear, so will have to see if 200feet will be enough... alaskanzx5
Imo you need a run of 0g per 2500bdcp plus at least one for the other amps. Think about it, each 2500 can pull over 300amps of power. Each one was designed to fully use a run of 0g wire. Ofc at that seeing how that is what Rockford makes and sell. I'd go 6 runs t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. I'd go 6 runs I thought that 4 runs would be enough to ''only charge'' the battery bank, from the battery bank each amp will get dual inputs so 2x 0gauge cca But then again i'm an amateur so if more people back you up, i'll do 6 runs Been thinking about getting the punch pro PP4-X crossovers to beter set up the mids and highs Found this diagram (see below) but i don't fully understand it... The crossovers can handle 125w rms max but the tweeters are 50w rms each, the 6.5'' mids 100w rms and the 8'' mids 125w rms This all of an p300x2 amp?? Could i do this but with a T400.2? and if so, how many watts will the mids and highs see? Thanks guys
alaskanzx5
Honestly I don't understand those x overs. Basically each speaker would get the 4ohm output on that amp. I don't remember what that amp does at 4 ohms but I think it's 100watts. For the wiring if you look at the 2500 on rockfords website you can pull up to 350amps each. A 17ft run of ofc Rockford wire is good for 350amps. That maxes out that single wire on its own. Using cca witch varies from 250-300amp of power draw at around the same length the single run would be over worked by a single amp. Here's the other fun side to though. Say you have one 300amp alt, you can only deliver 300amp to the rear battery bank at best. One run can cover that. So you can only send as much as you can make. Meaning that adding extra runs may or may not help. It's something that can only be done with testing to see if it helps. Imo gut the car once run all the wiring plus a little extra just in case so you don't have to go back and do it again. Who wants to spend a day going back into gutting part of a car to add some fat 0g wire when you could have done it all at once? t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. Yeah you're right, i'll do 6runs so i don't have to add some in the future Thanks! So... I'm putting the wall on hold.. I'll do 2 zv4 or zv5 15's in a 8,1 cu.ft (net) box tuned to 29hz for now On 2 t2500's, don't know if i should strap them or not?? And am also wondering if i can use the PEQX3 remote controller on the mids and highs (because maybe too loud for 2 15's...) Some mdf for the box.. Gonna need more What i have so far lol
