Eclipssinner
I used to be really big into the car audio scene back some years ago (15 years). I am planning on trying something a little different now that I have some time to do these things again. I have a few sets of high end home audio kids and highs that I was thinking of using in my car to try something different. The speakers are 6 ohm speakers and was just throwing it out there to see if anyone has tried this out. All constructive criticism is welcomed, just figured if I had these 2 sets I don't use in my house that originally cost $1500 bucks, why not the car. Thanks again guys
reedal
The only issue I see is that unless they're completely protected from moisture/dirt that is more extreme in a car environment than a home, then they may end up damaged. I believe the materials used for car audio speakers are More withstanding to natural abuse than home audio speakers. Rich Schenk
I would say it would be all install dependent. Quote On 3/28/2014 at 4:22 PM, KyLar96 said: Its all about the music anyway..... Eclipssinner
I plan on installing them in the doors and rear deck but they will be fully encompassed in fiberglass pods per say. The cones are carbon fiber and they are built very solid!
boom50cal
my mids are not really a car audio designed mid, but they kick ass in my truck. Bare components, you can try out. Actually built pods and stuff of that nature, wouldn't be advised to try. Quote On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole. ShadeTreeMechanic
I have seen a few builds on here that used Dayton audio drivers like the ones that parts express sells. I don't know what you have or what the t/s parameters are. You would have to try it to find out.
