DLHgn
With my HN's based on MY PERSONAL experanice. I have had good success with about 2.2 cubes each sub AFTER all displacements. a hair larger at 2.3 wouldn't kill it if your unsure. I tune low... 31 or so. and I had about 24 sq inches of port area per sub. Last box for them was 4.3 cubes tuned to 31, 48 sq inches of port. Are you going to be fabing another box for this new build? Side note. I have pictures of actual work done to the car. Who wants to see? Um...yes! Post 'em up! Swordlordboy1234
Alright well this weekend should be packed full of updates. here is what I have gotten done in my short couple days after my work shift was over. I have literally been deadening when ever I could with life and light constrictions. But back to progress Gotta put my better half to work also... Shortly after... Got 1 layer on the floor. Helped the resonance of that area a ton. I dont think I will need a second layer here. I plan on putting a bunch of things in this trunk and figuring out a way to seal off the bass firing forward in a clean non damaging way (no foam). I just have 160sq feet of this stuff and I dont see a reason why every part of the car shouldn't have 99% coverage at the minimum. Swordlordboy1234
Got some more things... This little bad boy is for those neo magnets. More to come on this. Then i got bored and started doing like 25% coverage on the trunk lid. Im waiting on Tesa Tape to send me some stuff. I am hoping to do one clean full layer of second skin here soon but i figured if i chip away at this deadening a little at a time it won't seem so daunting. Trying to roll it down the best i can in this tight area. This was the result before the stock beauty panel went back on. I also got my RCA's in.. Soundrive makes some awesome looking RCA's. these are the "cheap ones" I put a little electrical tape on these to hold them together. I may take that off and do a heat shrink or tech flex. Im not sure. Maybe heat shrink for moneys sake. Things are getting expensive. But I got a great deal on these... I have 4 sets of 15' + and 3 sets of 18". The smaller ones will connect the JL Fix to my B2 DSP. Im planning on putting both under the passenger front seat. Figuring out how I want to make it look the best I can still but I have a feeling wooden inserts and some premium black carpet are in the future. definitely some interior Tesa Tape. Im mostly trying to think of how i want to mount this stuff (specifically the board that Ill shape for underneath the seat) Im really trying not to drill holes. Alright... So as it sits right now. I have a couple more small supplies in the mail. I am waiting on Tesa Tape (over $300 worth 0_o) and my custom 12v metal works stuff. After that I will have all of my supplies and products. Then its just getting the time to do everything. This weekend I think im going to drop the headliner and do 3 layers of Damp Pro on the roof. I want to make that thing super solid. I dont plan on this car being much louder then mid 140's so I dont see it being a major issue. After that it will be minor fabrication (amp rack, and Processors board) and then the massive wiring and deadening fest that is about to commence. During the next couple weeks i should have my friend over to help me build a nice enclosure. Once I have the enclosure I will be addressing how I want everything to fit, look, and most importantly ... be sealed off nicely. Anyways. Hope you guys are enjoying. I am looking forward to this build and I am excited to get to work on all of this.
