Joshua Learn Posted November 7, 2016 Report Posted November 7, 2016 Hello folks. My aim is to get an Fi sub built for my truck. It's an ext. Cab 1997 Chevy Silverado. I have plenty of room to build a box to accommodate a single 15. I just sold my 2 12s. Question is. What options should I select when build my sub? I listen to rock and metal and rap. It's a daily driver. I listen loud all the time. I love the lows. 27-30hz was my favorite on my old subs. And I need a good punch to the sound, like Chevelle in concert toe of punch in the kick drum. Any ideas?

Cooling option yes, internal leads are nice. if you are going to be running rated then i would not worry about the extra spider or flatwound coil. If you plan on playing it for long periods of time you might want to do the BP Plug, Hyper pole, cooling, etc.

dolarbilz Posted November 7, 2016 Report Posted November 7, 2016 So with 1000 watt ssd your option.go with cooling , internal leads, highmax coil( really not needed but I like to order everything) . You should be good to go..if you can wait until black Friday they might run some specials on subs could save you few bucks.

I'd suggest a box on the smaller side and a low tuning to smooth out the frequency response. Triticum Agricolam Posted November 8, 2016 Report Posted November 8, 2016 3.0 cu ft would be on the smaller side. If you are going to stick with 1,000 watts I'd be tempted to go with the FI X-15. I'm not really a fan of the changes they made to the SSD series recently.
