Rockford Fosgate P315 VS Sundown E-15

Looking for advise for a budget temporary set up.

I have about 1000W RMS to work with, 1.5-4 ohms. (JL Audio 1000/1 slash)

I have roughly 38"W X 21"D x 18"H in my trunk to use. More depth available if i give up some height,

And a budget of about $200-$300.

I have decided that i will eventually get a 13W7 for the space, but i can't afford it right away, so i want a descent budget set up in the meantime.

So many options i've considered. 3 10s, maybe 2 12s, but i'm looking now at maybe 2 15s in a sealed box.

I have considered a few. Anyone have any experience with Rockford Fosgate P315s? How about Sundown Audio E15s? Both seem like a descent option for a lower price. I also am considering 3 10" Type-S Alpines.

I'm open for suggestions.

I've owned all 3 of those subs before in a combination of 10", 12", and/or 15".

Are you dead set on sealed box?

If i do 2 15s in my trunk, it would have to be sealed. If i picked the 10s or 12s, i would have room for a ported box.

Since you're new to the forum, I recommend you read the rules, particularly about vs threads. Unless you want a moderator to lock this thread up, I suggest changing the subject and the first post to just one brand, and make another thread about the other.

Both the P315 and theE15 will work on sealed, if you like a boosted low end and play rap and such maybe go for 2x12 ported instead.

I love me some Sundown and even though the new E3 v3 is a drastic upgrade over the previous versions I think think RF P315 would take the win imo.

Welcome to the forums!

Also brand vs brand type threads are not permitted since they usually cause a bunch of chaos, brand bashing, and brings out the worst in the members.
However if you are creating a thread comparing 2 items from the same manufacture, then it is fine and allowed.

So with that being said this thread is locked.
