Tater05 Posted December 21, 2016 Report Posted December 21, 2016 Well I bought two 18 in Zcons and I was thinking about powering them with their own individual amps or should I just get a 4.5k.I currently have a 220 amp alt,an XS Power D6500 battery,and knu koncepts 0 gauge wire.Im open to suggestions.Thanks guys I got about $800-$850 to spend on an amp.

But you can get any amp for now, and buy a second one later, with some more batteries. Get a 3000-3500 amp now if you find one. It will be enough to have fun with the Zcons ! black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a sealed box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.

In all honesty, you're best bet is probably looking into a used 5-6k when they pop up here. Hang around the for sale section for a week or two. Maybe a used sundown scv-6000 or the like will pop up. Realistically you probably want bass ASAP, so if I were you with that budget I'd snag a new 3k and run both woofers on it for now, then buy an identical amp later on and have one amp per woofer. This is all dependent on your voice coil config, that is. Tater05 Posted December 23, 2016 Author Report Posted December 23, 2016 I got a brand new soundqubed 4500 for $799,I'm gonna save up and buy another,I'm tapped out between Xmas and the 1144 for the zcons and the 799 for the amp ,But I thought the amp is a bad mofo.I got it all from SSA.
