ToNasty Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 What's out here besides the SD and do slim sub. Long for a shallow 8 or a few 6.5 that are under 4" in mounting depth. I have a very tight space. Behind the seats of my 16 Silverado reg cab ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
Jessica Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 fosgate p3 8" is like 2.75" depth but not a lot of power handling Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work. Wiring comparison by CaptainzPlanetz Wire and fuse guide by Guest SyKo13
06RTCharger Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 Check out illusion audio. They make alot of shallow mount drivers. Mids and subs. They use an inverted neo motor design. So the magnet is in front of the cone. I think Digital design SL series is also the same style. No experience, just some stuff ive came across. Theyre really shallow mount, like 4inch depth needed for subs.
SkarredSierra Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 The skar audio vd 8's are only 4 inch mounting depth. They look kinda beefy for a shallow mount.
06RTCharger Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 Just checked the power handling on the DD SL. 400-800rms, 1600peak. Thats for both 10inch and 12inch. They sell for $420 and $470.
ToNasty Posted January 3, 2017 Author Report Posted January 3, 2017 Power handling isn't a concern. Low power is what I'm also looking for. Very small space so I'm not expecting something with much power handling ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
06RTCharger Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 Were u only looking for 8s at the largest, U dont want 10s or 12s?
ToNasty Posted January 3, 2017 Author Report Posted January 3, 2017 10 might fit. 12 won't. It's a very small space ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
mothra Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 Kicker Comp R 8s if nothing changes, nothing changes You don't know what you don't know, till you don't know
Quiet Posted January 3, 2017 Report Posted January 3, 2017 If budget is of concern, look at Dayton Audio slim sub's. The 10" has respectably low Fs and decent Xmax, and is about $100. Might be what you're looking for. https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-ls10-44-10-low-profile-subwoofer-dual-4-ohm--295-251 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
