abervintageman42
what exactly is a clay bar and whats it do, ive seen them before but never bought them cuz i didnt know what the hell they were for a claybar is essentialy a piece of clay, there are multiple colors, each color indicating a certain aggresiveness, after the paint is exposed to the elements, things such as brake dust collect and get trapped in the clear coat and this removes the contaminents from the clear coat and paint leaving a shinier and more smooth surface than before

trainman0978
just go buy the meguair's claybar kit at any parts store. about twenty bucks. read the directions, and wax afterwards. this is the easiest way to clay a vehicle and for the money it is very effective, yet time consuming... abervintageman42
i always use compound. but looks good bro clay bar should be the first step (After washing of course) in a full detail because if you dont do so you might cause marring to your paint (spider web looking scratches), clay bar removes contaminents and compound removes marring but without the right preperation you will be causing more harm then good
