Second Skin
So the time has come, to reveal the very in depth installation Team Second Skin was a part of for the “Inside West Coast Customs: Steampunk VW Build”. Almost 200 sqft of Damplifier Pro, 120 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro, and 48 sqft of Hydrophobic Melamine Foam was used in this build. The time lapse install of this build for the episode was a little deceiving (TV magic) and the install of the Mega Block in the engine bay was not shown. But it took 2 installers (plus Eric’s part of the build), 2 days, for a total of 30 hours 47 minutes to finish this very detailed install. Keep in mind most builds do not take this long, but the size and high quality necessary to complete the build of this rare 23 window VW bus, required attention to detail and precise work to accomplish this unbelievably well sound deadened build. And the winner is………Stephen S. with the closest guess of 9 hrs 20 mins 10 secs!!! Congratulations, please private message us your full name, shipping address, email, and phone number so we can get your product shipped out to you. Thank you to everyone who participated in the episode release giveaway, we appreciate each and every one of you. Keep those builds looking good and always insist on high quality American made sound deadening!!! #SecondSkinForTheWin 4 Quote Whether you are restoring a classic muscle car, building an audio system monster, or trying to give yourself a bit of silent luxury on your daily commute, we have a product or combination of products that will help you achieve your goals while saving money and save time. Second Skin
Yeah, the TV magic of time lapse made it seem quick and easy. Great editing though, we loved the episode. Congrats on the good guess. 1 Quote Whether you are restoring a classic muscle car, building an audio system monster, or trying to give yourself a bit of silent luxury on your daily commute, we have a product or combination of products that will help you achieve your goals while saving money and save time. moh.vze.com
Wow! Congrats on the winner. My guess was way off! Would be cool if we got to see a raw video of the process to see what these other products look like since I've never used them before: " 120 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro, and 48 sqft of Hydrophobic Melamine Foam" It would have been a perfect demonstration of how to properly apply second skin products to a vehicle. But yeah, it's too bad the segments from the show for Second Skin was not very long but still cool to see yah on TV 2 Quote DC Audio - Singer Alternators - Knukonceptz - XS Power - Hybrid Audio - Rockford Fosgate - Second Skin Audio - SMD - Sundown Audio - Elemental Designs

We did leave lots of hints on our social media pages with how YUGE the build was, including posts of the large pallet of products we shipped in January on FB and IG. We were very happy with the segment that did get released. We are working on being able to use the raw video and show video on our site/YouTube. As soon as Velocity gives us the OK and the release we will offer what we have to the public. Also, I believe Steve has a project planned in the future for some Melamine foam, and Eric is going to do a project with it on a hood install, very busy times for us all this year. A great problem to have ? Enjoy life and keep those builds looking great!!! 2 Quote Whether you are restoring a classic muscle car, building an audio system monster, or trying to give yourself a bit of silent luxury on your daily commute, we have a product or combination of products that will help you achieve your goals while saving money and save time.
